Refund Policy for Agonda Island View

1. Introduction

This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds and cancellations for bookings made through Agonda Island View, in compliance with Indian consumer protection and hospitality regulations.

2. Cancellation Policy

2.1 Advance Cancellation: If you cancel your reservation 7 days or more before your arrival date, you will receive a full refund of your token amount.
2.2 Late Cancellation: For cancellations made less than 7 days before check-in, one night's rent for all booked rooms will be charged as a cancellation fee.
2.3 Post Check-in Cancellation: If you cancel after the check-in date due to unforeseen emergencies or circumstances, 50% of the total booking amount will be charged.​

3. GST and Tax Implications

3.1 GST on Cancellation Charges: As per Indian tax regulations, GST will be applicable on all cancellation charges retained by the hotel.
3.2 Tax Rates: GST rates vary based on room tariff - 12% for rooms ₹1,001-₹7,500 per night and 18% for rooms above ₹7,500 per night.

4. High Season Policy

4.1 Peak Period Restrictions: During high season periods (Diwali, Christmas/New Year, local festivals), stricter cancellation policies may apply with 100% retention for cancellations made within 7 days.
4.2 High season dates will be clearly communicated at the time of booking.

5. Refund Process

5.3 Refund Processing Time: All refunds will be processed within 5-7 working days from the date of approval. The actual credit to your bank account may vary depending on your bank's processing time.

6.2 Modifications are subject to availability and may result in price changes.

7. No-Show Policy

7.1 If you fail to check in on the scheduled date of arrival, you may be charged the full amount of the booking.
7.2 GST will be applicable on the forfeited amount as per Indian tax regulations.

8. Exceptional Circumstances

8.1 In cases of unexpected events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions), we may offer more flexible cancellation terms.
8.2 Force Majeure events will be handled as per Indian hospitality industry standards.
